Transporter 3 2008. Same member, same direction. Why he had to transport her? Who cares. Just plain good action. Nice. $15.

XYZ restaurant at W in SF. I had chicken sandwich and it was nicely done. $14 but was worth it.

Brazilian Steakhouse Cleo's in San Bruno.
451 El Camino, 650-615-9120

Nice while it is hot. The atmosphere is a bit like real Brazil run down shack with florescent tube. nice. $90 for three.

Went there to check out Totoro intepretation by people from all over the world. The exhibit was small but content was OK. Was it worth $6 admission? Nope. I am not that much Manga fan I guess. But it is in good location where you can hop to MoMA store. Some serious Otaku were there when we went.

Friend told me to go get Garlic Rosted Crab $37 and Garlic noodle $10 and Pear Martini $9, so I did and although above food has not so much nutritious value, tasted good. But anything with that much butter, salt and garlic must taste good anyway. Crab House on Pier 39 has pretty good one too which might be pricier but has better view. $100 for four. Family sitting next to us were eating crab and noodle each!! No wonder they were huge.

This is Auto Union Type C. Which was also engineered by Porsche firm. Rear engine, suspension system, etc. has resemblance to 356 and 911's. This car is what we call today the Formula 1, the Grand Prix cars. It did want many time back in 30's with V16 6000cc engines.

This is picture of another 911 called 993. I was torn between getting narrow bumpered 911 or 993. Reason for 993 is just pure look. After 993, the big change came which is 996 with water cooled and bad headlamp job. Prior to 993 we had 964 which is OK too but it looks like too much of big bumpered 911s. Oh wait, what happened between 964 and 993. There are around 30 body types but I doubt Porsche did that much in mean time... Then after 5 or 6 years later the new model is called 997.... come on, some'n fishy here doc.

Rabbit-Proof Fence 2002. It is amazing walk of little girls over nine weeks along 1,500 miles (2,400 km). Doing it once is miracle but they did again or movie said. In the end, you can see the actual. I liked it. $20.

Dr. Porsche started out engineering for other auto makers like Daimler. He also started his own engineering service company. His client were VW, Autounion(became Audi), Germany(Hitler then) etc. Porsche would give new project with numbers. 1st one was type7, since they did not want to let client think they were the 1st. That is our body type 911 was born. It was actually type 901 but Peugeot claimed that X0X is their identity, so although it was announced as 901, Porsche slipped 1 in the middle. The body number and part number used internally and with dealers, 901 number still remains. The one of famous big bumper Porsche is known as 930 Turbo shown here. It is actually a body type 930 and there are 934, 935 which are famous too. Latest number I know is the latest 911 which is type 997. I wonder what they will use when they ran out three digit. Porsche 1030 Hybrid Turbo perhaps? Does not sounds right. I want nine to start with.

Sushi and other stuff just alright. All the oil taste for things like Tempura taste funny in J restaurants around here, so it is not just Kazoo's fault. I thought Kazoo name sounded funny but there was Japanese character for it=賀寿 more like Kasu=waste... $63 for four. Would go there again since our friend's dad do sushi there.

Hlaska, leather goods and bag store/company. They have pretty cool store in Fillmore SF. The store looked new and I just found out that it is the flagship store. I am not sure how long the store has been there or biz is going but hope lux biz like them can survive this era. They sure do have good taste in store and merchandize.

From 1974, Porsche changed bumper to meet some safety regulation. This is typical but one of better looking example of big bumper. Since this design lasted for 15 years then on, you will see a lot of this running around.

Although Bumper has changed, many parts like door sheet metal and rear window were the same shape from 65 to 89 or so I hear. Now that's long-life design. I like that spirit.

This is very early picture of Porsche 901. Very simple indeed. It does not even has the trim line below the door. No cut out for the fog lamps. I am not sure if this was in production as is but I would love to see in real person in this pure form.

Note gas door is in circle unlike production model which is also beautiful oval. The modification request came from engineer or designer? Why change of shape? I will pay to know those design change episodes!

Gee why didn't I think of this idea. This is fabulous concept.

Porsche 912 came out as to cushion the gap between high priced 911 and 356. It has less cylinders and trims. I never driven 6 pistons on the same era so I would not know how less power I would feel on 912 but I can very much live with this around 100HP car. 100 horses are a lot to push less than 1000kg chunk of metal. Also I like 912's less trim-ness. Trim purely add weight for this era and extra looks which I rather not have. I will post original 901 which became 911 and see how less trim those models were.

Image is from a catalogue. Look at their graphic design. It is beautiful!

Three years ago, I bought 1969 Porsche 912. This is the ad for it on Craig's list. Just moved here from Japan and it was my old dream to live in California and drive narrow, meaning no big bumpered, Porsche 911. I could not find decent priced or conditioned 911 so I settled for this one. Turned out that this car and I was born only two month apart in the same year.

I will write more about this car from now on.

Baby Mama 2008. Funny lked it $12. Steve Martin does wonderful crazy boss like mine.

Dark Knight Batman 2008. I like the actress who played Rachel. I could not remember where I have seen her but now I do. She was in Stranger than Fiction yelling [Tax man!] The movie itself was kind a too long with both joker and two face in one story. Nice movie but could have been shorter. $13.

Lamborghini Espada 1972! What a beauty. I want it and it is on sale currently at Eaby for $23K. I know it will be a money black hole but I just love the whole thing.

Cat of Mirikitani 2006. Nice movie. Liked it. It is amazing his english did not get any better after all this years. Also Mirikitani, very unusual name but good sound to it. Beautiful persimmon painting!! $20.

Custom bike pic from J. It is over the limit and I love it. We need people like this making things out of scale-dumb-beautiful. Love it.

Chestnut farm at 22322 skiline, La Honda, CA. At $5,25 per pound, I think it is way over priced but you get to experience picking them with kids. When I was kids, they were just free in mountain. Oh well. BTW, there were three elder Korean who were picking and eating them raw on site!! I tried and it is not for eating raw. Amazing stomach they have. RESPECT.

Riva Fish House, Santa Cruz. The Tripadvisor said it is very popular so we went but muscle was so skinny that Belgium would smack them for serving that. Fries were so hard felt like it has been fried 3 hours ago. Calamari was known as their speciality but tasted like below average. Beautiful view though. Somehow I would go back but just for the view and location. $45 for four.

Nissan GT-R. In the bay area, some genuine dealer is charging around 50K mark up. Is it legal? If it is pop-mom-shop then I understand but legidimate dealer charging more than list price. That does not sounds right. Anyway, I want to drive on Laguna someday.

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)
I remember seeing old one long time ago. I just now checked it was done in 1959. Well this movie reminded me some part of the original but pretty much this poster is saying it all. Fun movie with kids $12.

VW CC. CC stands for Comfort Coupe. It can be just one of those fad making normal sedan looks sleek and coupe-ish like MB and BMW are doing but this has some tight ID's. Also like that little feature like back up camera shows up from the badge.
